A conventional text serif with strong vertical stress and distinctly bracketed serifs. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin contrast, with robust main stems and crisp, tapering hairlines that end in sharp feet and triangular/wedge-like head serifs. Counters are generously open and the rhythm is steady, while curves (notably in C, G, O, S) are smoothly drawn with sculpted transitions. The lowercase includes a two-storey a and g, a compact, firm-shouldered r, and a tall t with a short crossbar; terminals often finish in rounded or teardrop/ball-like forms, giving the face a slightly calligraphic sheen despite its sturdy weight. Figures appear lining with classic proportions—narrower 1 and wider rounded forms like 0 and 8—matching the serifed, high-contrast construction of the letters.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine titling, and book-cover typography where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve for short blocks of text, pull quotes, and branded statements where a strong, traditional typographic presence is appropriate.

The overall tone is traditional and confident, with a distinctly editorial gravity. Its crisp serifs and dramatic contrast suggest refinement and heritage, while the heavy color and open counters keep it assertive and readable at display sizes.

Likely designed to deliver a classic text-serif model with heightened contrast and a darker overall color, balancing readability with a more dramatic, headline-friendly presence. The sculpted curves and terminal treatment aim to evoke traditional print typography while maintaining a firm, contemporary weight.

At larger sizes the contrast and sharp serif details become a key feature, producing a dense, ink-rich texture in paragraphs and headlines. The round letters and ball/teardrop terminals add a subtle warmth that tempers the otherwise formal, authoritative feel.
