A strongly contrasted serif with a compact, sculpted build and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The design emphasizes vertical stress and sharp, clean terminals, with small hairline connections and crisp, wedge-like serif shapes that read as refined rather than slabby. Round letters show tight counters and bold outer contours, while joins and inner curves pinch into narrow waists that heighten the engraved, display-driven look. Spacing feels deliberate and slightly tight at large sizes, creating a dense, impactful texture in text.

Best suited for display settings such as headlines, poster typography, book or album covers, and brand marks that need a confident classic voice. It also works well for packaging and editorial section headers where dense, high-contrast letterforms can carry the page; for long passages, it will be most comfortable at larger text sizes with generous leading.

The font projects a classic, old-world confidence with an editorial gravitas. Its dramatic contrast and carved details introduce a slightly theatrical, premium tone—suited to statements, headlines, and identity work where a sense of tradition and authority is desired.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a traditional contrasted serif in an exaggerated, attention-forward way, using dramatic modulation, crisp serifs, and ornamental terminals to create a bold, premium display texture. Its letterforms prioritize impact and character over neutrality, aiming for a refined but emphatic presence.

Distinctive details include pronounced ball-like terminals on some lowercase forms and a strongly stylized, swashed feel in select shapes (notably in the lower-case with curled endings). Numerals appear similarly weighty and formal, with bold silhouettes and high-contrast interior shaping that keeps them legible while retaining the ornamental character.
