A narrow, right-leaning serif with sharp, calligraphic construction and pronounced thick–thin contrast. Strokes taper to fine points and end in spiky, wedge-like serifs, while many terminals show intentional roughness and uneven edges that mimic worn ink or distressed printing. Curves are slightly angular and taut, and the overall rhythm feels lively and irregular without losing legibility. Numerals and capitals keep the same crisp contrast and pointed finishing, giving the set a cohesive, engraved-yet-handmade texture.

Best suited to display settings such as book covers, posters, title sequences, and themed packaging where texture and atmosphere are desirable. It can work for short passages or pull quotes at comfortable sizes, but the distressed edges and high contrast favor larger text and simpler layouts for clarity.

The font reads as theatrical and antiquated, with a slightly ominous, folkloric flavor. Its scratchy, ink-worn details and blade-like serifs suggest old manuscripts, gothic tales, or arcane signage rather than neutral editorial typography.

The design appears aimed at delivering a vintage, inked-calligraphy look with a deliberately weathered finish. It prioritizes mood and character—sharp, dramatic forms paired with roughened contours—to evoke historical or fantastical themes.

The short lowercase height and strong ascenders/descenders create a tall, vertical silhouette, while the distressed contouring adds visual noise that becomes more prominent as sizes get smaller. Uppercase forms are especially expressive, making them effective for display lines where the pointed serifs and rough texture can be appreciated.
