A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. The letterforms show a vertical, steady axis and a deliberate, display-leaning rhythm, with sturdy main stems and hairline joins that create sharp internal counters. Terminals are clean and slightly tapered, while curves (notably in C, G, S, and O) feel sculpted and controlled rather than calligraphically loose. Lowercase proportions keep a conventional x-height, with compact bowls and tight apertures that emphasize the strong contrast and dense typographic color at larger sizes.

Best suited for headlines, decks, pull quotes, and magazine-style editorial typography where the high contrast can be appreciated. It can also support sophisticated branding and book-cover titling, particularly in large sizes and with comfortable spacing to preserve the hairline detail.

The font projects a traditional, editorial seriousness with a dramatic, high-end feel. Its sharp contrast and confident structure read as polished and authoritative, lending a slightly theatrical emphasis well-suited to premium or legacy-minded typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with elevated contrast for strong visual impact. It balances conventional text-serif construction with a more emphatic, display-oriented finish, aiming for a refined, premium look in editorial and identity contexts.

In text settings the heavy verticals and fine hairlines create a lively shimmer, especially in mixed-case passages and around punctuation. The numerals and capitals carry a strong, headline-forward presence, while the lowercase maintains a classic book-serif flavor but with more bite due to the contrast.
