A high-contrast serif with pronounced vertical stress, thick main stems, and very fine hairlines. Serifs read as crisp and mostly unbracketed, with several flared and tapered terminals that give strokes a slightly calligraphic finish. Proportions are on the broad side with generous interior counters and a steady rhythm across text, while curves stay smooth and controlled. The lowercase shows a relatively traditional structure with a two-storey a and single-storey g, and the overall color on the page is strong due to the heavy thick–thin contrast.

Best suited to headlines and short-to-medium editorial settings where contrast and sparkle are desirable, such as magazine titles, book covers, and pull quotes. It can work for body text in well-printed or higher-resolution contexts, but its fine hairlines suggest avoiding very small sizes or low-quality reproduction.

The tone is classic and editorial, mixing refinement with a slightly theatrical presence. It evokes old-style print and display typography, lending a polished, literate feel with enough contrast to read as confident and attention-grabbing.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened contrast and sharp detailing, balancing readability with a strong display character. Its wide proportions and crisp hairlines suggest a focus on elegant typography for prominent editorial and branding use.

At text sizes the hairlines and joins create a lively sparkle, while in larger settings the crisp serifs and tapered strokes become the main visual feature. The figures are curvy and stylized, matching the face’s dramatic thick–thin rhythm and giving numerals a decorative, old-fashioned flavor.
