A high-contrast serif with strong vertical emphasis and extremely fine hairline horizontals. Serifs are sharp and minimally bracketed, giving a crisp, engraved look; joins stay clean and taut rather than soft. Proportions feel classic and slightly condensed in the capitals, while the overall rhythm alternates between thick stems and razor-thin cross-strokes for a striking light–dark pattern. The lowercase shows a fairly traditional structure with a two-storey a, a compact, tightly curved e, and narrow, high-contrast forms that keep counters open despite the thin connecting strokes.

Best suited to display typography such as magazine headlines, fashion or culture editorial layouts, luxury branding, and premium packaging where high contrast can shine. It can also work for short subheads, pull quotes, and title treatments when set with comfortable tracking and adequate size.

The tone is polished and authoritative, with a distinctly high-fashion/editorial attitude. Its dramatic contrast and knife-edge details feel premium, formal, and slightly theatrical, suited to designs that want elegance with impact.

The design appears intended to channel a classic modern-serif (Didone-like) aesthetic—maximizing elegance and contrast while maintaining a disciplined, upright structure for confident, high-impact display use.

At larger sizes the hairlines read exceptionally crisp and the serifs become a defining texture; in smaller settings those thin strokes may visually recede, making spacing and size choices important. Figures follow the same high-contrast logic, pairing stout verticals with delicate curves and terminals.
