A textured old-style serif with strongly bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and a visibly hand-inked edge. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and subtle wobble, as if printed from worn type or drawn with a broad nib, giving counters and joins an irregular, organic rhythm. Proportions lean traditional with moderate ascenders/descenders and compact lowercase forms; spacing feels slightly uneven in a way that enhances the crafted look rather than appearing sloppy. Numerals follow the same roughened, high-contrast model with sturdy stems and lively curves.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium editorial settings where a vintage, crafted impression is desirable—headlines, book covers, pull quotes, posters, and packaging. It can work in larger text sizes for thematic prose, but the textured edges and strong contrast are most effective when given enough size and breathing room.

The overall tone is antique and literary, evoking early printing, folk ephemera, and storybook titles. Its roughened outlines and dramatic contrast add a touch of mystery and theatricality, while the warm, human irregularities keep it approachable and tactile.

The design appears intended to blend classic old-style structure with a deliberately distressed, hand-printed surface, capturing the charm of historical type while adding expressive grit for contemporary display use.

In the text sample, the lively contours remain legible but create an intentionally “printed” texture across a paragraph, especially where rounded letters and strong serifs build a dark, animated color. The uppercase carries a slightly more monumental presence, while the lowercase keeps a conversational, traditional cadence.
