A sculptural serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a strongly vertical rhythm. Capitals are broad and weighty, with sharp wedge-like serifs and fine hairline connections that snap into heavy stems, creating a carved, high-contrast silhouette. Curves are tight and controlled, with compact bowls and crisp terminals; diagonals (V, W, X, Y) read as sturdy and geometric rather than calligraphic. Lowercase forms are robust and compact with round, dark counters and prominent entry/exit strokes, while figures are wide and emphatic, matching the uppercase presence.

Best suited to titles and short blocks of text where its contrast and sharp serif detailing can be appreciated—magazine mastheads, book and album covers, event posters, and brand marks that need a classic but forceful voice. It can work for pull quotes or subheads when set with ample size and leading to avoid an overly dark page color.

The overall tone is commanding and theatrical, with an old-world, headline-forward elegance. Its strong contrast and sharp serif details convey authority and tradition, while the broad proportions add a bold, poster-like confidence.

The font appears intended as a high-impact display serif that blends classic, high-contrast cues with broad, imposing proportions. Its design prioritizes dramatic silhouette and editorial presence over unobtrusive body-text neutrality.

Spacing appears generous in display settings, helping the dense stroke contrast remain legible at larger sizes. The design produces substantial texture in paragraphs, with noticeable weight on horizontals and strong dark shapes that can dominate at smaller sizes.
