A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced vertical stress and sharp hairline serifs. The letterforms combine thick main stems with narrow, pinched joins and teardrop-like apertures in several curved characters, giving the counters a carved, almost cut-paper feel. Serifs are crisp and mostly unbracketed, with wedge-like finishing on some strokes and occasional ball/teardrop terminals in the lowercase. Proportions are compact and sturdy in the capitals, while the lowercase shows lively modulation and distinctive shapes in letters like a, g, and y that add texture in running settings.

Best suited to display applications where its strong contrast and sculpted details can be appreciated: magazine mastheads, book and album covers, poster typography, and premium packaging. It can also work for short editorial pull quotes or section headers when a classic, high-impact serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is assertive and theatrical, pairing refined contrast with a slightly gothic, old-style gravitas. It reads as traditional and authoritative, but with enough idiosyncratic detailing to feel decorative and attention-grabbing in display use.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif authority while pushing contrast and detailing for dramatic, attention-forward typography. Its distinctive terminals and carved counters suggest a focus on memorable display character over neutrality.

In the sample text, the dense color and sharp modulation create strong word shapes and a striking rhythm, especially at larger sizes. The numerals follow the same engraved-like contrast and bold presence, making them stand out in headlines and short statements.
