A distressed serif with rugged, torn-looking contours and uneven stroke terminals that mimic worn ink or rough printing. The letterforms keep a classical serif skeleton, but edges are fractured and mottled, with small voids and nicks that break up straight stems and curves. Strokes are moderately modulated, and the serifs read as blunt, irregular wedges rather than crisp brackets. Overall spacing feels slightly lively and inconsistent in a way that reinforces the distressed texture while remaining readable in short lines and display sizes.

Works best for display typography where the distressed detail can be seen—posters, book covers, album art, product labels, and brand marks that want an aged or rugged imprint. It can also support short passages or pull quotes when a textured, antique flavor is desired, but the rough edges may reduce clarity at small sizes.

The texture and broken edges give the face an aged, hard-used tone—suggesting old posters, stamped marks, or relic-like lettering. It feels gritty and historical rather than polished, with a subtly ominous, storybook quality when set in larger text.

The design appears intended to combine a traditional serif foundation with heavy surface wear, creating the impression of timeworn printing or eroded signage while keeping familiar letter shapes for legibility.

Uppercase forms look sturdy and monumental, while lowercase retains the same roughened treatment, creating a cohesive texture across mixed-case settings. Numerals follow the same worn treatment, with recognizable silhouettes and intentionally imperfect counters and terminals.
