A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a predominantly vertical stress. Strokes transition from hairline thins to sturdy stems, producing a sharp, polished rhythm in text. Counters are moderately open and proportions feel traditionally balanced, with slightly condensed joins and neatly tapered terminals. The lowercase shows a two-storey “a” and “g,” sturdy serifs on ascenders, and a compact, controlled texture that stays even across words. Numerals follow the same contrasty, old-style-inspired construction, with prominent curves and fine entry/exit strokes.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, and it also performs strongly for headlines and pull quotes thanks to its crisp contrast. Its formal character makes it a natural choice for invitations, cultural programs, and branding that aims for a traditional, literary feel.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a refined, editorial presence. Its contrast and crisp detailing communicate formality and care, evoking the feel of established print typography rather than casual or technical lettering.

The font appears designed to deliver a conventional, print-centric serif texture with elevated contrast and refined detailing. It prioritizes classic proportions and a composed reading rhythm, aiming for a dependable, authoritative tone in both text and larger display settings.

The design reads clean at display sizes, where the hairlines and serif brackets become a defining feature, and it maintains a composed paragraph color in the sample text. Round letters (C, G, O, Q) show smooth curves paired with sharp serifs, while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) feel elegant but assertive due to the strong thick–thin transitions.
