A distressed serif with strongly irregular, deckled outlines that mimic worn ink or rough letterpress printing. Stems are mostly straight and upright, but edges wobble and break, creating a lively silhouette and uneven stroke terminals. Serifs are small to moderate and often blunt or chipped, while bowls and counters stay fairly open, helping the shapes remain recognizable despite the texture. Overall rhythm is slightly uneven, with noticeable per-glyph variation that reinforces an analog, imperfect print character.

Well suited to display applications that benefit from an aged or handcrafted impression, such as posters, book covers, editorial headlines, packaging, and label-style branding. It can work for short passages or pull quotes when the intended effect is atmospheric and textured, but is most effective for titles and larger sizes where the distress detail remains clear.

The font conveys a gritty, aged tone—part antique printing, part photocopied ephemera. Its rough texture and broken edges suggest history, wear, and tactility, lending a handmade authenticity that feels informal and a bit rugged.

The design appears intended to evoke worn print and tactile, ink-on-paper imperfections while retaining the familiar skeleton of a traditional serif. The goal is likely to provide an easy-to-set display face that instantly adds vintage grit and organic texture without requiring additional effects.

In text, the distressed contour becomes the dominant visual feature, producing a darker, noisier color than a clean serif at the same size. The texture reads best when given enough size or contrast so the ragged edges don’t collapse into fuzz, and it naturally adds character to short lines and emphatic words.
