A heavy, blocky slab serif with pronounced rectangular serifs and sturdy, mostly squared contours softened by subtle rounding at joins. Strokes are dense and even, with only modest modulation, creating a compact rhythm and strong horizontal emphasis from the slabs. Counters are relatively tight (notably in B, R, 8), while apertures remain readable; several joins show small notch-like shaping that adds crispness at corners. Numerals are wide and weighty, with a distinctive, bulbous 3 and a sturdy, geometric 4 and 7 that match the overall mass.

Best suited to headlines, display settings, and short bursts of copy where impact and sturdiness are priorities—posters, signage, packaging, and sports or event branding. It can work for subheads in editorial layouts when paired with a lighter companion for body text.

The typeface projects a bold, no-nonsense tone with a distinctly American, collegiate/poster sensibility. Its chunky slabs and tight internal spaces lend it a confident, emphatic voice suited to attention-getting headlines with a hint of vintage robustness.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum presence through large slabs, compact counters, and a firm, squared structure, echoing classic poster and collegiate lettering traditions while keeping letterforms straightforward and highly legible at display sizes.

Uppercase forms feel especially architectural and stable, with broad shoulders and flat terminals; lowercase maintains the same weight and squared logic, giving paragraphs a dense, punchy texture. At smaller sizes the tight counters can darken quickly, while at larger sizes the cut-in corner detailing becomes a defining character element.
