A sturdy italic serif with generous curves, a broad stance, and clearly bracketed serifs. Strokes show a moderate thick–thin relationship, with rounded joins and subtly tapered terminals that keep the forms from feeling rigid. The italic angle is consistent and fairly strong, producing energetic diagonals in letters like N, V, W, and x, while counters remain open and readable. Lowercase forms are compact but not cramped, with a single-storey a and g, a distinctive curved descender on j, and a right-leaning rhythm that reads smoothly in text.

Well-suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed with real presence—headlines, decks, pull quotes, and lead-ins. The robust shapes and open counters also support shorter passages in books or magazines, particularly for emphasized text, section openers, and formal titling where a traditional serif tone is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a confident, slightly dramatic slant that suggests editorial polish. Its weight and pronounced italic movement convey seriousness and emphasis without becoming ornamental, making it feel suited to established, institutional, or literary contexts.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with added weight and width for strong emphasis and clear reproduction. It balances classical serif construction with a lively italic cadence, aiming to deliver authoritative readability while still feeling expressive.

Figures appear oldstyle, with varying heights and pronounced curves (notably in 2, 3, 5, and 9), which reinforces a text-first, classical flavor. Uppercase letters maintain strong presence with stable proportions, while the lowercase shows more calligraphic character in terminals and joins, adding warmth and motion.
