A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a slightly calligraphic, oldstyle skeleton. Serifs are wedge-like and often bracketed into the stems, with occasional flared shaping and ball terminals in the lowercase. Counters are generous and the round letters show clear stress, while verticals remain steady and dark, creating a strong typographic color. The lowercase includes a single-storey a and g, a gently angled e with a small eye, and a curving f with a prominent head and descender, all contributing to a lively rhythm. Numerals appear sturdy and traditional, with curving forms and clear weight distribution suited to text and headings alike.

Well suited to editorial typography, book work, and magazine-style headlines where contrast and serif detail can carry a refined tone. It also works for branding and packaging that benefits from traditional credibility and a bold, literary voice, especially at medium to large sizes.

The font conveys a classic, bookish authority with a slightly expressive, hand-influenced warmth. Its strong contrast and sculpted serifs give it a confident, editorial tone that feels established rather than trendy.

The design appears aimed at a conventional text-serif foundation enhanced with more sculpted, oldstyle details, balancing readability with a strong, characterful presence. Its sturdy weight and high-contrast modeling suggest an intention to perform confidently in prominent typographic roles while retaining a classic page feel.

At larger sizes the shaping details—bracket transitions, rounded terminals, and stress in bowls—read clearly and add character; in dense settings the heavy vertical emphasis produces a distinctly dark, assertive texture. Uppercase proportions are stately and compact, while the lowercase feels more animated due to the ball terminals and single-storey forms.
