A dark, weighty serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply flared, wedge-like stroke endings. Serifs often appear cupped or scooped rather than flat, with pointed beak-like terminals on several letters, creating a chiseled, engraved feel. Counters are relatively tight and the rhythm is compact, while the overall construction stays upright and steady. Curves show strong stress and crisp edge transitions, producing a crisp silhouette and a distinctly sculpted texture in text.

Best suited to headlines, cover lines, mastheads, and short emphatic statements where high-contrast forms and flared endings can be appreciated. It can work for branding and packaging that wants a premium, classic tone with added drama, and for pull quotes or section openers in editorial design at larger sizes.

The tone is assertive and theatrical, pairing traditional serif cues with an attention-grabbing, poster-like intensity. Its sharp terminals and glossy contrast read as formal and authoritative, with a slightly eccentric, decorative edge that feels suited to prestige messaging.

The design appears intended to combine a traditional serif foundation with sculptural, flared terminals and exaggerated contrast to maximize presence. It prioritizes distinctive silhouettes and a luxurious, print-forward texture for display use.

In the sample text, the dense black color and tight interior spaces create a strong typographic “wall” at larger sizes; spacing and shapes emphasize impact over neutrality. Numerals and capitals share the same carved terminal language, helping maintain a consistent, display-oriented voice across mixed settings.
