A heavy, high-contrast serif with sculpted, wedge-like terminals and sharply notched joins that create a cut-paper, chiseled look. Strokes alternate between thick slabs and thin hairline connections, with frequent diagonal shears and pointed inner counters that give many letters a faceted, almost engraved silhouette. The rhythm is energetic and slightly irregular in width, with compact apertures and strong ink-trap-like cut-ins that emphasize the black mass. Numerals and capitals share the same dramatic contrast and carved detailing, producing a cohesive, display-forward texture in words and lines.

Best suited to large-size typography such as headlines, posters, branding marks, and magazine display where the carved details and contrast can be appreciated. It can also work for short pull quotes, titles, and packaging labels that benefit from a distinctive, ornamental serif voice, but is less ideal for dense body copy due to the tight counters and incisive joins.

The overall tone is bold and theatrical, blending a vintage editorial feel with an ornamental, poster-like assertiveness. Its sharp incisions and flared serifs add a sense of spectacle and drama, reading as confident, stylized, and deliberately attention-grabbing rather than neutral or purely bookish.

The design appears intended as a decorative display serif that maximizes impact through extreme contrast, flared terminals, and deliberate cut-ins that create a carved, sculptural texture. Its styling prioritizes character and recognizability in titles over neutrality, aiming for a distinctive vintage-meets-theatrical impression.

The distinctive internal notches and pointed counters can visually close up at smaller sizes, while larger sizes showcase the letterform carving and contrast most clearly. Curved letters (like C, G, O, Q) show pronounced swelling and tapering, reinforcing a calligraphic influence within an otherwise geometric, faceted construction.
