This serif shows strong stroke modulation with crisp, tapered serifs and clear thick–thin transitions throughout. The letterforms are upright and relatively broad, with sturdy vertical stems, refined hairlines, and sharply defined terminals that stay clean even at display sizes. Serifs appear mostly bracketed with pointed finishes, and the joins and curves (notably in S, C, and G) have a slightly calligraphic tension. Lowercase forms read traditional and compact, with a double-storey a, a fairly rounded e, and a narrow, angular t; figures are proportioned to match the heavy vertical emphasis and high contrast.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine typography, book jackets, and other situations where a classic serif voice needs extra impact. It can also work for posters and branding that benefit from a formal, high-contrast look, especially at medium to large sizes.

The overall tone is assertive and polished, combining classic book-serifs familiarity with a more dramatic, high-contrast presence. It feels formal and editorial, projecting authority and seriousness while still retaining a crafted, engraved-like sharpness.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with heightened contrast and sturdy proportions for strong presence in editorial and display contexts. Its consistent serif treatment and traditional lowercase aim to preserve familiarity while delivering a more dramatic, premium typographic color.

In text, the strong contrast and tight inner counters create a dark, energetic texture with pronounced vertical rhythm. The capitals carry a particularly monumental feel, while the lowercase maintains conventional shapes that support continuous reading when set with comfortable spacing and leading.
