A very heavy serif with softly bracketed, flared stroke endings and compact, sturdy proportions. Stems and horizontals remain largely even in weight, while terminals swell gently into tapered, wedge-like serifs rather than blunt slabs. Curves are broad and round, with tight counters in letters like B, P, and R, and the lowercase shows a two-storey g with a prominent ear and a compact, sturdy rhythm. Overall spacing reads solid and planted, with an emphasis on dark color and clear silhouettes.

Best suited to display use where strong typographic color is desirable—headlines, posters, packaging, and brand marks that need a classic but forceful voice. It can also work for short editorial decks or pull quotes, though the dense forms may feel heavy in long text at smaller sizes.

The tone is confident and traditional, with a distinctly editorial, headline-oriented presence. Its weight and flared serifs suggest heritage and authority, while the rounded curves keep it approachable rather than sharp or formal.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact while retaining a traditional serif voice, using flared, bracketed terminals to add warmth and historical resonance. It balances sturdy, low-contrast construction with expressive terminals to read as both dependable and characterful.

Several letters show subtle calligraphic influence at terminals (notably C, S, and J), giving the forms a slightly carved or engraved feel. Numerals are bold and simplified with strong, open shapes designed to hold up at large sizes.
