A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stress and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The forms are wide and weighty in their main strokes, with fine, sharp hairlines and crisp, unbracketed serifs that read as delicate wedges. Curves are generous and rounded, with occasional ball terminals and small ink-trap-like notches at joins and corners that add bite to the silhouettes. The lowercase shows a sturdy rhythm with a single-storey g, compact bowls, and distinctive descenders (notably on j and y) that curl into decorative hooks, giving the design a slightly exuberant finish.

Best suited to headlines and other display settings where its contrast and wide proportions can be appreciated without the hairlines breaking down. It works well for magazine titles, book covers, theatrical or event posters, and brand marks that want a classic, high-impact serif voice.

The overall tone is dramatic and authoritative, combining old-style warmth with a more theatrical, display-oriented contrast. It feels ceremonial and literary—suited to messages that should sound confident, refined, and slightly baroque rather than neutral.

The design appears intended as a statement serif: a traditional, vertically stressed foundation pushed into a bold, high-contrast display register. Decorative terminals and curled descenders suggest an aim to add personality and flourish while keeping an unmistakably formal, editorial structure.

Numerals echo the same showy contrast, with curled details on figures like 2 and 3 and bold, rounded counters that maintain strong color at display sizes. In text, the thick stems create a dark, poster-like density while the hairlines and serifs provide sparkle and texture, especially in capitals.
