A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stress, thick main stems, and very fine hairlines that taper into crisp, pointed serifs. The letterforms feel broad and open, with assertive capitals and a sturdy, rounded lowercase that keeps counters generous despite the heavy stroke weight. Serifs are mostly unbracketed and knife-like, giving edges a clean, cut appearance; curves show pronounced thick–thin modulation, especially in round letters and numerals. Overall rhythm is stately and measured, combining strong black shapes with delicate connecting strokes for a distinctly contrasted texture.

Best suited to display roles such as headlines, magazine titles, pull quotes, and cover typography where the dramatic contrast can be appreciated. It can also work for short, formal text blocks when size and reproduction conditions preserve the fine hairlines.

The tone is formal and editorial, projecting a polished, high-end character with a touch of theatrical drama. The sharp serifs and extreme modulation suggest tradition and authority while reading as intentionally attention-grabbing at larger sizes.

Likely designed to deliver a modern take on a classic, vertically stressed contrasted serif: bold enough to anchor layouts, but refined through hairline serifs and sharply controlled modulation. The goal appears to be premium, attention-focused typography that reads as traditional yet visually striking.

In text settings the contrast creates a lively shimmer, with hairlines and thin joins becoming a defining feature of the texture. The wide proportions and prominent serifs make word shapes feel expansive and headline-forward, while small details (like fine entry/exit strokes and pointed terminals) add a refined, engraved-like finish.
