A sturdy slab-serif design with squared, assertive serifs and mostly vertical stress. Strokes are fairly even overall with subtle modulation, giving the letters a solid, print-oriented presence. Capitals are wide and stable with generous counters, while lowercase forms are compact and readable; the two-storey a and g, open apertures, and clear bowls support continuous text. Terminals and serifs end in flat planes, with light bracketing that softens joins and improves flow at text sizes. Numerals are clear and proportioned to sit comfortably alongside the lowercase, with straightforward shapes and consistent weight across the set.

It performs well in body text where a firm, readable texture is needed, and it scales effectively into subheads and headlines thanks to its confident slabs and clear counters. Suitable for editorial layouts, book typography, institutional materials, and branding systems that need a traditional but robust serif voice.

The font conveys a classic, editorial tone—serious, dependable, and slightly formal. Its slab structure adds confidence and emphasis without feeling decorative, suggesting utility and authority typical of newspapers, textbooks, and institutional typography.

The design appears intended as a practical slab serif for sustained reading, balancing strong, square-ended serifs with restrained modulation to preserve clarity. It aims to deliver an authoritative, print-friendly texture that remains composed in both display and text contexts.

The rhythm is steady and consistent, with strong horizontal elements in E/F/T and pronounced slabs on I/J/L providing a structured texture. Diagonals (V/W/X/Y) remain crisp and stable, and the overall spacing reads even in paragraph settings, maintaining clarity without appearing condensed or overly airy.
