A robust serif with sculpted, flared terminals and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The letterforms are broad and steady, with a strong horizontal emphasis and generous internal space in rounds like O and Q. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, often finishing in beak-ish points on letters such as C, E, F, and T, while joins are smoothly curved rather than abrupt. Lowercase forms read sturdy and open, with a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a crisp, high-contrast dot on i/j; numerals follow the same wide, weighty construction with clear, sharply cut curves.

Best suited to headlines and short passages where presence and authority are desired, such as magazine features, book covers, cultural posters, and identity work. It can also function for subheads and pull quotes, where its wide stance and high contrast help create hierarchy and a classic editorial voice.

The overall tone is commanding and traditional, leaning toward old-world gravitas rather than delicate refinement. Its bold, expansive rhythm and sharp serif accents give it a confident, headline-forward presence that feels editorial and institutional. The contrast and flared finishing add a slightly dramatic, display-oriented character.

The design appears aimed at delivering a traditional serif voice with extra impact: wide proportions, emphatic contrast, and flared, wedge-like finishing that reads strongly in display sizes. It balances classic letterform cues with a more sculpted, theatrical edge to stand out in contemporary layouts.

The sample text shows strong word shapes at larger sizes, with sturdy verticals and cleanly carved counters that keep dense lines from collapsing. Diagonal strokes (V, W, X, Y) are thick and assertive, and the design’s wide proportions amplify impact while maintaining an orderly, upright texture.
