A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, sharp hairlines, and weighty vertical stems. Serifs are crisp and mostly wedge-like with subtle bracketing, giving joins a slightly calligraphic, carved-in feel rather than a purely mechanical construction. Curves show tight apertures and strong inner counters, with occasional ball/teardrop terminals on letters like a, c, and f that add a warm, traditional texture. Proportions are sturdy and somewhat condensed in rhythm, and the overall color on the page is deep and assertive, especially in the heavier lowercase (notably m, n, and s).

Best suited for headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other prominent editorial typography where its contrast and detailing can be appreciated. It can also work well for book covers and refined promotional materials, especially when set with generous spacing and at sizes that preserve the hairlines.

The font reads as classic and authoritative, with a distinctly editorial flavor. Its dramatic contrast and sharp detailing convey refinement and seriousness, while the rounded terminals keep it from feeling overly austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with heightened drama and a premium finish. It emphasizes sharp contrast, sculpted serifs, and expressive terminals to achieve a confident, attention-grabbing presence without abandoning traditional text-serif conventions.

In text, the heavy stems and small interior counters create a dense typographic color that favors display and larger reading sizes. Numerals are robust and stylized, with clear contrast and distinctive curves that match the letterforms’ traditional, high-contrast vocabulary.
