A heavy, slab-serif display face with noticeably roughened contours and uneven inking that creates a blotchy, letterpress-like texture. Strokes stay largely monoline, but edges wobble and chip, with occasional interior nicks and softened corners that suggest worn type or imperfect printing. Proportions are sturdy and compact with short extenders, while the lowercase shows readable, typewriter-adjacent forms and a single-storey ‘a’ and ‘g’. Numerals are chunky and slightly uneven, matching the distressed rhythm across the set.

Best suited to display settings where texture is part of the message: posters, editorial openers, packaging and labels, event graphics, and themed branding. It also works well for short passages in pull quotes or subheads when you want a deliberately imperfect, printed-on-paper feel.

The overall tone feels rugged and analog, evoking aged printing, stamped marks, and utilitarian signage. Its imperfections read as intentional character—earthy, DIY, and a bit abrasive—making text feel more tactile and historical than polished.

The design appears intended to mimic worn, ink-heavy printing with a strong slab-serif skeleton underneath, prioritizing character and atmosphere over pristine neutrality. Its consistent distress and sturdy proportions aim to deliver immediate visual grit while keeping letterforms broadly familiar and legible.

Distress is consistent enough to hold together in words, but the heavy texture can darken at small sizes and in dense paragraphs. The irregular edge breakup adds a lively sparkle in headlines, while longer text benefits from generous leading and lighter backgrounds to preserve counters.
