A heavy, woodtype-inspired slab serif with broad proportions and a compact, squared silhouette. Strokes are thick and assertive, with flat slab serifs and distinctive carved-in notches and cutouts that create a chiseled, stencil-like texture inside and along the edges of forms. Counters are relatively small and often shaped by these interior bites, producing a bold, high-impact rhythm. Terminals stay blunt and geometric, while the overall letterforms keep an upright, steady stance suited to headline scale.

Best suited for display use such as posters, headlines, event graphics, and bold signage where its carved details can be clearly seen. It also fits logo marks and packaging that aim for a nostalgic, handcrafted or frontier-themed voice. For longer copy, it works most effectively in short bursts or pull quotes at larger sizes.

The face channels a classic American poster vernacular—part Wild West, part circus broadside—with a strong sense of showmanship. Its rugged incisions and chunky slabs feel handcrafted and nostalgic, projecting a confident, slightly mischievous energy. The dense black presence reads loud and celebratory rather than refined.

The design appears intended to reinterpret bold slab serif woodtype with a deliberately notched, cutout treatment that adds character and instant period flavor. Its broad, sturdy construction prioritizes impact and recognizability, while the interior carving provides a distinctive signature for branding and poster-style typography.

The decorative notching becomes more prominent in tighter joins and smaller counters, giving text a lively, uneven sparkle that reads as intentional “carving” rather than smooth typographic finish. In continuous settings, the heavy weight and interior cutouts create a textured color that benefits from generous size and spacing.
