A robust serif with thick, low-contrast strokes and subtly flared, bracketed terminals that widen as they meet the serifs. Proportions lean tall and compact, with a high x-height and relatively short ascenders/descenders, creating dense color and strong word shapes. Curves are slightly squared and tightened, with small counters in letters like a, e, and s, and a consistent, upright stress. The numerals and capitals maintain the same heavy, even rhythm, with broad bowls and confident finishing strokes.

Best suited to display roles where weight and presence are an advantage—headlines, subheads, posters, and brand marks. It can also work for short editorial bursts (pull quotes, section openers) where a dense, authoritative texture is desirable, and for packaging or signage that benefits from a sturdy, traditional serif voice.

The tone is bold and dependable, with a traditional, print-rooted presence that feels confident rather than delicate. Its flared endings add a touch of warmth and craft, giving headlines a slightly vintage, editorial flavor while still reading as solid and contemporary.

The design appears aimed at delivering maximum impact with a classic serif foundation, using flared stroke endings to add character and warmth without introducing high-contrast delicacy. It prioritizes bold readability and strong typographic color for attention-grabbing display typography.

At text sizes the heavy joins and tight apertures can read as intentionally compact, producing a strong, poster-like texture. The Q’s sweeping tail and the sturdy diagonals in K, V, W, and X add energy without breaking the overall disciplined, upright stance.
