A high-contrast serif with sharp, wedge-like terminals and strongly bracketed serifs. Strokes shift abruptly between thick verticals and hairline joins, producing a sculpted, sparkling texture in display sizes. Capitals are relatively wide with crisp, pointed apexes (notably in A and W), while the lowercase shows an oldstyle lean in construction with a double-storey g, a flowing two-storey a, and curved entry/exit strokes that feel slightly calligraphic. Numerals are sturdy and stylized, with pronounced thick–thin modulation and distinctive curves that echo the letterforms’ sharp terminals.

Best used for headlines, magazine display typography, book covers, and high-impact editorial layouts where its contrast and sharp serifs can be appreciated. It can also support branding and packaging that aims for a classic, upscale voice, especially when set with generous spacing and ample size.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, with a sense of tradition and gravitas heightened by the dramatic contrast. It reads as premium and slightly theatrical—well suited to headlines that want to feel established, literary, or fashion-forward.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened drama through strong contrast and crisp, sculpted terminals. It balances conventional proportions with expressive detailing to stand out in editorial and branding contexts without leaving the realm of familiar serif typography.

The face produces a strong rhythm of dark stems and fine connecting hairlines, creating an energetic page color in large text. Some characters feature distinctive, slightly idiosyncratic detailing (e.g., the curved, hook-like terminals and the expressive double-storey g), which adds personality while staying within a conventional serif framework.
