This serif shows pronounced vertical stress with strong thick–thin modulation and crisp hairline serifs. Capitals are broad and steady, with flat, razor-like serifs and clean, high-contrast joins that create a formal rhythm across lines. Lowercase forms are sturdy and slightly compact in their bowls, with compact apertures and clear, conventional construction; the two-storey “g” is especially weighty, and the “a” reads as a robust, rounded two-storey form. Numerals are similarly wide and high-contrast, with sculpted curves and sharp, bracketless-looking serifs that keep the overall texture crisp and assertive.

This design is well suited to headlines, magazine and newspaper titling, book covers, and other editorial display settings where contrast and presence are assets. It can also work for short text passages at comfortable sizes, especially when ample leading and careful color management are available to support the fine hairlines.

The tone is formal and emphatic, combining a traditional bookish voice with a dramatic, poster-like presence. The intense contrast and wide stance feel stately and declarative, lending the typography a confident, authoritative character.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast serif voice with maximum impact—pairing broad proportions with sharp hairlines to create a refined yet attention-grabbing texture for display and editorial typography.

In text, the strong contrast produces a lively, sparkling pattern, while the wide capitals and open spacing help headings feel expansive. Curves (notably in C, G, O, Q, and 3) are generously rounded, balancing the sharpness of the serifs and giving the face a composed, ceremonial feel.
