Fonts shape how we experience words - they carry tone, emotion, and personality. Well-chosen fonts elevate your graphical creations and allow them to really shine. Yet despite their importance, fonts remain surprisingly difficult to browse and discover.
Typical font sites show you 10-20 crippled specimens in seemingly random order, have limited & inconsistent catalogs, are slow to load, and use complicated licensing terms that make it hard to know what you're allowed to do.

Styles, Variants, Characters
Font Hero’s catalog of over one million fonts offers both a diverse range of styles and myriad nuanced variations.
By organizing the fonts by vibe, you can quickly drill down to promising stylistic pockets. Each font page then offers rich cross-linking to help you find a font that gets the details just right.
All fonts include a consistent set of 255 Unicode characters that cover the majority of Latin-based languages. The fonts are delivered as TrueType Font (TTF) files, ensuring wide compatibility across platforms and applications.
AI
Generative AI tools typically depend on text prompts and are slow to deliver results - a poor fit for fonts, where descriptive language is both obscure and imprecise. And who wants to wait?
So instead, we pre-generated a vast catalog for instant, visual font browsing, greatly simplifying the process for the end user.
One of the most delightful results of this project has been the success of the vibe space in quantifying semantic similarity among fonts. Rather than rely on the often arbitrary and inconsistent tags typically used, we use the vibe space to organize the catalog.
Legal
We have trained a proprietary generative AI model from scratch using a dataset of non-copyrighted raster specimens.
While some fonts on this site may appear similar to pre-existing fonts, we have taken great care to not actually reproduce any font in our training set.
